Cakeworthy Pride Month Branding
Assignment
The assignment was to create a lookbook for our favorite clothing company and brand it as if we worked for the company ourselves. We were also tasked with creating at least 3 Instagram posts to promote the company. To go the extra mile, I made an Instagram story that looked like it came from the company to highlight that they share their customers' accounts and posts.
Concept
Since 2014, Cakeworthy hasn't sold cake, but they have sold delicious clothing based on our favorite pop culture icons. From Disney to DC, Golden Girls to Harry Potter, they serve the hottest looks at the sweetest prices. This lookbook emphasizes Pride Month, which is in June, so the lookbook features not only the clothing but looks for the rainbow and all sizes and sexes that represent the spectrum because people come in all shapes, colors, and sizes. Also featured are three Instagram posts and an Instagram story to go along with the lookbook to support the lookbook.

Concept
The idea behind the lookbook was to showcase the items as well as to represent Pride Month in June, so I wanted lots of rainbows and imagery that represented LQBTQIA+ since that is one of the missions of the company as well as the owner is LGBTQIA+ as well. I wanted to include more than just the looks, so I featured what the company was about, as well as the values of the company. The next to last spread is an ad and QR code for the user to scan that links to Instagram to represent that the company will feature customers on its social media pages.

Concept
For the Instagram posts, I wanted to highlight aspects of each different event in May for the company. I decided to do an Anniversary post, A Pride Post, to highlight the Disney Princess Jacket that was popular at the time, and then the last post is about the 90s since the shirt showcases the 90s era of Nickelodeon.
