Dogs Stay Inn
Assignment
We were tasked with creating a themed hotel or boutique. We were given an open-ended prompt, meaning we could choose anything for the theme. We would then create a booklet encompassing the hotel's look and ten items the hotel would either give out for free or sell (such as shampoo bottles, soap bars, gift items, etc.). The other deliverables would be a 3-page static website and two menus, one for a full-service restaurant and one for in-room service.
Concept
From when you check in to when you check out, we want you to feel at home. That’s why we’re Orlando’s first and only fully exclusive dog hotel and boarding. You can snuggle with your dog in bed or leave them with us during the day for one of our great puppy days out programs. So you can explore the city or hit up one of the many theme parks in the area!

Booklet Concept
The idea behind the booklet is that it would be in the front lobby desk and rooms to show the amenities that the hotel has, such as pools and workout centers for humans, as well as tells the story of the mascot, Fido who is seen on most of the hotel items. The final book is 4.5" x 6", and switches color halfway through to show the human aspect of the book versus the dog amenities, like the splash pad, doggie spa, and boarding services.

Website Concept
The website is the second deliverable from this set. It is meant to be a go-to for all patrons of Dogs Stay Inn.

The Header includes the logo with a link to the home page and navigation menus with language translator as well as rewards, location and your typical reserve, amenities, boarding info, dining, and contact information.

The first page is a homepage. This is where we talk about what Dogs Stay Inn is, gives some information about the mascot, information about rooms with a link to reserve, a place to find out about amenities and a link to get there, boarding and grooming information, and then capping off the end is information about dining. Lastly, there are some testimonials are listed in a carousel to let people know what others thought of the hotel.

The next page is booking and reservations. Here patrons can reserve their stay, or find out some more info about the specialty rooms that Dogs Stay Inn has. If they want, users can add on basic and deluxe welcome kits which are listed at the bottom for easy information. .

The final page is about Boarding and Grooming. It starts by listing the grooming types and what they include under grooming services, and then goes on to talk about boarding. Last it has the information about the Doggy Day Care service that Dogs Stay Inn offers.

Finally, the footer closes each page with a linked logo, again back to the homepage. It has your typical about information, reservations, news, a find us section, and the ways someone can connect if they want to.

Restaurant Menu Concept
This menu is for Dogs Stay Inn's main restaurant, The Bark Side. Featuring all dishes named after famous dogs from your favorite TV shows, movies, and other pop culture references. They have a full-service bar and a section where you can bring your pup in and have them eat with you, just not at the table, please!

In Room Menu Concept
The in-room menu is the same as the sit-down service menu, just more narrowed down. It's designed exclusively for inside guest rooms which is why it's more simplified than the sit-down restaurant.

Products Concept
The idea behind the products were that they had to be something that the hotel would either give out or sell in a gift shop. For Dogs Stay Inn, they were created as some were complementary, and others were something guests could add to their check-in package. It's commonly needed items that are usually either forgotten at home or easier to travel with. The basic kit includes a treat bag filled with treats, a reusable dog bowl, a bed, and the guest's choice in scented shampoo and refresher spray kits. The guests can then choose to upgrade their package to the deluxe, which includes the pet waste bags and holders as well as either a collar or harness and the matching leash to go with it,
